wastegate flange help

Can anyone ID this flange? I didn't realize until I went to bolt my WG on that the flanges are totally different. I have a Tial F46 WG which has the square flange and this is rectangular. This is on a boost logic GE mani, BTW.

I'm not at all opposed either to cutting this thing off and welding on a proper flange or getting an adapter if there is one. Had I realized before I would have just gotten a vband WG and been done with it. the flange is about 3 1/4" x 2 1/2" overall.

thoughts? What are my options? Best route to me seems like get a proper 4 bolt flange and have that welded on. I'm not 100% positive how all this goes together but I have a BNIB F46 tial with all the accessories so I don't know if i need an extra flange to weld on or if I'm supposed to use the one that came with the WG that has the valve seat on it or what.

thanks for any guidance!

Not that I'm an expert on flanges, but that looks mighty uncommon or even cheap to me. Would definitely just scrap it and weld a new one.

Definitely uncommon flange that's on there now. it's pretty beefy just no clue what it's for.

I think I've got it figured out and you're supposed to weld on the flange that comes with the wastegate. It seems to have a valve seat machined into it and that would make sense to me. There's tons of info on how WGs work and theory behind it but very little I've found on this is how you actually install one, bolt this to that, weld this to that, etc.

Guess it's off to the welder's tomorrow.

LOL I would have preferred a vband setup but in my quest to keep it simple I got a 4bolt flanged WG. Now having to weld on the manifold anyway, kind of sucks but oh well. I got this mani used so I guess the prior owner was very old school.

I've found out for sure now, I have to order a flange, weld that on and then bolt everything that came with WG to that. Luckily I found one for $20 in miami so it should be here in a day or two and might just keep me on schedule.
