Default sc300 5spd trans or driveline issues

ok so I own a 92 sc with a notchy 2nd and 3rd all the time. almost so im waiting for the trans to shift itself. it gets really hot in the center and stinks to high heaven. it also will start to jerk in gear at low rpm upon acceleration the jerking is rare but happens. the trans also is pretty noisy.

so ive changed the gear oil the shifter bushings and had the clutch checked by a shop

my question is the trans in need of replacement or is there possibly something wrong with the differential or drive shaft etc.

please any and all advice on anything to subside some of these issues
thanks christian

I noticed on my 93 sc300, all the gears feel kinda notchy.
I think it has something to do with the earlier version of the w58 (swan neck style)
it seems more like a r154 and people say those are notchy all the time
I think the smoother w58 is the post 95 ones.

So do you think it's time to replace trans or fix it
