aristo swap help!!??

I know this has been talked about about 1000000001 times but i have yet to find what i am looking for. i have been searching for hours and hours and still haven't found the answer i am looking for. Maybe im looking up the wrong key words but my head hurts and my eyes hurt from looking at thread after thread and still nothing.

All i want to know is if i buy a aristo motor set for my sc would it basically be a "plug and play" type install besides the wiring harness. im already planning on buying one from dr. tweak so i dont have to worry about that.

plug and play is kinda board, would help if you are asking specific part of the swap.

im more worried about the ecu/ wiring portion of the swap. i was hoping i could just drop it in with the wiring harness from dr.tweak and drive it away. :uh:

If you have a plug and play harness from Dr tweak then it should be plug and play for the ecu wiring.
What wont be drop in and go is the aristo motor because it has a front sump oil pan that does not fit in the SC and the wrong motor mounts.
You will need a rear sump oil pan setup from a SC or mk4 supra or even a soarer, and ideally sc300 motor mount brackets.

Okay thanks just making sure.. I don't want to start and stop because I wasn't ready for something. Or at least something big.

yeah do a search for the aristo swap threads for the small stuff. I think its also more complicated if you try and put one in a sc400, so hopefully you have a sc300, or access to a junkyard with one in it I want to say some a/c lines are different and maybe some other annoying things, which is not a problem if you start with a 300.

If its in an SC300, use all the SC300 accessories. That will make it much easier. So Aircon, PS pump, alternator, etc. Obviously you will need to do a front to mid sump swap

Would I still need to swap all the accessories if im getting a wiring harness made for the aristo/sc300. Btw I am putting it in a sc300 not a 400.

You definitely need to swap aircon (So you dont have to regas your aircon) and hydraulic fan (aristo) to clutch fan (SC).

I plan on taking the fan off and going electrical.

Stock SC fan is more than enough for anything you will throw at it. 1000hp supras run stock clutch fans

You cannot use the GE power steering pump. You must use the pump from the gte motor set.

Also run a gte water pump. With gte clutch fan and fan blade you use your original sc300 fan shroud if using the sc300 radiator.

Is the power steering pump different?

He has an Aristo motor. The Waterpump has the front attachment for a hydro fan, NOT a clutch fan. If you want to run a clutch fan, you need a brand new Supra TT GTE front or run the SC clutch fan setup.

you can use the GE power steering pump, you just take the union and o-ring off the gte pump and bolt it to where the reservoir sits on the GE pump. the pumps are pretty much the same.
