Default Too much coolant...

I brought my 92 SC400 in for a coilover intall. The mechanic topped of the coolant in the resevoir tank as a courtesy. Now when I park my car after a long drive, coolant leaks from the overflow tube connected to the resevoir tank. When my car cooled off I removed the radiator/resevoir cap and a small amount of coolant pours outs as though there's a blockage of air trapped in the system...
and by me removing the cap...
I released whatever air was trapped in the line.
Is there too much coolant or is it something else?
I'll have my mechanic check it but I was hoping someone here could steer me in the right direction.

possibly a faulty radiator cap. if it's not sealing and holding pressure, it'll constantly overflow the reservoir

Yes it was filled to the maximum
And a faulty radiator cap sounds very possible since there are no other visible problems other than whats been described.
