Default replaced knock sensors, still throwing knock sensor code (SC400)

for about a month now my '93 sc400 had been sending the code 52 - knock sensor #1 check engine light about once a day or so. so about 3 days ago i spent ten hours removing the intake manifold and replacing both knock sensors. the next day i got the same check engine code again. ive heard that the wiring to the sensors can go bad and cause the check engine light as well, but i cant really seem to find replacement knock sensor wiring any where. just trying to see what i can/should do because i am sick of the light going off and retarding the timing when ever i drive. thanks!

make your own wire use Female Insulated Spade terminals google it if you dont know what it is.splice into the wire or just cut the original connector off and replace it with terminals

get an multimeter and check for continunity for the wires back to the ecu.. from experience these ecu lies a lot.. if u got a sc400, there are 2 knock sensors..u can switch the knock sensors. and see if the bad sensor is actually bad. if u get the same code the chances are knock sensors are okay and its related to wires or possibly something else..
