GTE cams on GE head?
Can any of you knowledgable people tell me if the non vvti GTE cams can work on a non vvti GE head? And do I need to do dizzy delete for this to work? Thanks
moved to performance section.
Gte cams fit just fine but the don't have the gear for the distributor so you need a full distributor delete which involves a crank mounted crank sensor and the gte cam triggers installed on the GE head.
Or you can use the vvti crank gear and run a standalone that can run off of that but it may still need a cam trigger not sure.
Why would you want to though, for USDM cams the gte and ge cams have very similar specs it is not an upgrade really to change stock gte cams in. you can use the intake cam though just the exhaust cam not having the distributor gear is the issue, but they make all sorts of cams for a GE just have to look.
