Question Check Engine/trac control lights on

Ok so Ive been lurking between club lexus and lexus owners club for some time now. I have a 95 sc400, I traded this car for my old truck and now I love the thing. I got it up on the lift the other day to find my front cat's were both split on the seam, thus causing a major annoying exhaust leak. I am planning on replacing the cat's but I also have the check engine and trac control lights on. The track control maintains a continuous trac off display (even when pressing the button). and the check engine light to my knowledge is the O2 sensor. My question roots to these links: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums...lights-are-on/ https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...lfunction.html , so are they connected? does the O2 sensor possibly get a false reading because of my exhaust leak, causing my trac control to throw its own code? Thanks for the help in advanced Im relatively new to the luxury and high end cars

Yes. In their infinent wisdom they decided to make the TRAC off light when the SES is showing.

Fixed the exhaust leak!! but im still getting a 28 engine code, the front right o2 sensor. It did turn on Trac on for a short period, but then my ses light came back on. Thanks for the help again, I will post when I have resolved the problem
