Any dual exit catback exhausts?

Default Any dual exit catback exhausts?

Just wondering if there any companies that still make catback exhausts with the dual exit? The only ones i can find are single and i.m.o. it looks weird with a single exit. If I were to get an axleback exhaust with some custom piping would that give me a similar result in terms of performance? I know it won't be much unless I go turbo, but that's for the future.

Not sure where you're looking, but almost all the systems sold here are dual catbacks (since almost every Lexus model is dual).
There's lots of options in the Private Classifieds, or the Vendor Classifieds if you're looking for new.

EDIT: sorry for some reason I was thinking 'axelbacks' when you wrote 'catbacks' (long day).

I have dual axelbacks with headers, everything in between is custom. And yes, its not easy to find dual catbacks for SC's.

Well i was looking at the blitz nur spec r, but that's only a single exit. The other nur spec for the SC has the dual exit, but thats an axle back. I keep my eye on the private classifieds, but no one wants to give up their exhaust. I have yet to check the vendors though.

It is hard to find a dual catback that isn't custom made. there are some that come up for sale from time to time I got a Zees catback but generally I would recommend just having a good shop make one just choose your mufflers.

Ah i see. So in this case I would have to find some universal mufflers and have a shop fabricate the rest? It's a same no one really makes em anymore. But I guess because we're such a small segment of the market I don't really blame em

I haven't really seen any. All three of my dual cat backs were custom piping with universal mufflers.

most good shops can copy the rear section of the stock piping pretty good in the size you want and reuse the hangers and flange to bolt it on the midpipe. you are in cali there should be plenty of nice exhaust shops.

yeah just remember only have the rear section fabricated, don't mess with the flange on the midpipe or you won't be able to bolt in an aftermarket midpipe later which you can get for the SC as the single turbo supra midpipe will bolt in.

just saw the prices for hks exhaust tips, man they cost you an arm and leg. Anyone know where to get some decent ones for a lower price?

I heard HKS quit selling parts in the U.S. a while back so their stuff will stay expensive. You could always look into Greddy, Borla, or Apexi. You can find them cheaper than you will an HKS muffler, especially used.

Hey thanks! It's kinda funny though that i found a supra carbon ti full exhaust cheaper then two carbon ti exhaust tips . But alas I don't want a single exit, the woes of life

You could go custom with a Magnaflow that has dual pipes on each muffler. There is also Thermal R&D which makes some universals like this.

the magnaflows sound good on the SC. I always wanted the soarer nur spec single that exits to the right.. probably the only single I would run on the SC.
