Default Bolts for automatic 1jz gte Flexplate?

*FOR FUTURE REFERENCES*

*Use AUTOMATIC 2JZ-GE flexplate bolts for your automatics 1JZ-GTE. i would recommend you getting new bolts from toyota if you ever remove them. Its advise that you do use the same ones over again. But if u insist make sure you use red loctite on them. Factory bots from toyota come already with loctite on them.*

So i just bought a set of arp bolts for 2jz ge and gte automatic. I wa told by the seller that these will work for my 1jz automatic. So as i was puting them in today i noticed that these things are are to long and they hit the back. So now im confused because i have no idea what bolts i need. Im looking left amd right all over the internet but all i find is info on manual flywheeks which are different bolts.

Any ideas? Idk if i can use 7mgte auto flexplate bolts?

Heresa pic for reference . On the top is my oem auto flexplate 1jz bolt. On the bottom is the arp auto flexplatebolts.for 2jzge gte. To my knowledge there all supose to work, but with these.in my hands i can.clearly see that they do not.

So i just found out that these are in fact for the manual tranny... the idiot lied to me and said they were for autos. The auto bolts needed are ARP-204-2801

I was given 203-2802 which are for manual trannys.

So im stil guessing that auto 2j bolts will work, problem is finding a cheap set. Toyota wants 20$ a single bolt and i need 8, there freaking nuts

Please forgive any typos im onmy cell its very difficult to type

Hey, you should tell them at the parts counter that you work at the Honda dealer across town and you think you have an account there with them (whatever your Honda dealer is) and tht you wanna do a cash ticket. You may get lucky and get the dealer rate. My buddy did this the other day when gettin me the front seals for his 2j I serviced. Got a good discount, he hasn't worked at Honda in ten years. Most dealers have accounts with each other, might be worth the try

Thanks vrank il give it a try, i think my dealer is closed as my calls dont go through, but if there over priced at toyota then im going to buy some online from toyota s websites, there 99¢ online il just have to wait to for shipping. But the other arp bolts people use are actuly for a porchse. Same thread pitch and all, m10x1.25 i believe and about 19.5mm long, oem bolts are 22.5mm long i believe (could.be.wrong) and arp bolts for manuals are 26mm long.

But what if i go to like homedepot and find some bolts the same size? If i get the grade 9 stuff, would you trust it? Lol theyd be like 20¢ ea
