I just received my motor but really late at night so i cant give it a good rundown. But i noticed that my oil cap smells like fuel? I purchased the motor from jdmenginezone.com.

Estimated 40-50k is wat i was told. Completly stock soarer 1jz

What can cause this? Like i said its dark out so i cant inspect the motor today but tomorow ima gona go through every inch of the motor.

Sometimes synthetic oil smells funny. Change your oil, and get a new pcv valve, I believe 1jz uses the same as for a usdm 2jzgte, then report back on any smell change.

It's normal. The oil in all my cars have smelt like gasoline. It's not a strong smell. But it's definitely there.
