Default Do not buy Bosh wires (sc400)

I got the bosh wires from rockauto for my 1996 lexus sc400 and the lengths are all wrong. The actual wire is high quality and flexible, better than stock. But the problem is that all the wires are too long except for one that is too short. I had to loop and jumble together the wire near the front of each valve cover in order to get the distributor and spark plug cover on. The worst part is the wire that goes from the driver side ignition coil to distributor is too short(all the wires are too long but what do you know). I wasn't able to use the grommet that goes on the cover piece on and there was still tension on the wire. I went and got a new oem one because I was not comfortable with it being under tension.

part number
Bosh 09355

I hope I save someone else the headache

I'm inclined to say the issue would be rock auto...

Probly was a mistake on rock auto's part, even tho I've had nothing but great luck with them.

Highly doubt Bosch**** would make such a silly mistake, its not coming directly from them but from rock auto.

it couldve been rock auto's fault, but i dont think it was.

quite a lot of people report problems with using 'american/european associated parts" (especially and specifically ignition components) i.e.- champion, bosch, etc on their japanese vehicles.

back in 05 or 06 i specifically remember buying sparkplugs to install myself and a nearby mechanic told me NOT to buy (it was EITHER) champion OR bosch spark plugs for my japanese car (nissan 240sx)

the majority if not all japanese manufacturers recommend denso and or ngk.

now some nay sayers might call bs and ask for dyno sheets etc for proof, but really if a manufacturer recommends it and you can find the same part by a japanese company vice an 'american company,' why not?

I remember having some issues with aftermarket wires in the past. I ended up getting some Denso wires and they worked great.

Doubt it was rockauto. It clearly say on the box fits lexus v8. And it came with the ignition coil clips.

Check the reviews and see another sc400 owner had the same problem.

I replaced my wires last month. Prior to my purchase I read a review that said the same thing; so, I went with Autolite brand for $100 and they were of accurate length. Only 1 or 2 were just 1/2 inch longer than the wires i removed.

I think so. That's probably why they worked so well.
