How to check Auto Transmission outside of car

Default How to check Auto Transmission outside of car

I think i blew my transmission, or my torque converter went out. Whatever the case may be, I'm trying to find another transmission. But how can i tell if the auto transmission is in good condition? PLease Help! The guy over the phone gave me this part # Can Anyone help me find out YEAR & MODEL

Model- 30-40LE part# 35000-24271

Only thing you can do is buy it WITH a warranty and hope it works. There is no way to really truly tell. I suppose you can check the input shaft gears, see if the trans rotates that would tell you it's not seized. Yeaaa, there isn't a definitive way to really tell, unfortunately. If the SC your getting this tranny from was wrecked, there is a high possibility that the trans works fine. But then again, the transmission could work today, but not tommorow.
