I did this and it worked! Thanks! One question...will I be able to run permanently like this or switch it back when it warms up again? i.e. any known issues to arise if this is not connected to the system, so to speak? Appreciate any feedback...

The next thing would be to figure out why the coolant was low.

I had the same issue and it turned out that my waterpump was leaking.
