Default 2jzgte Single turbo boost issue...

Hey guys, I finished my GTE swap about a a month ago, right away pulled the stock twins and installed a T67 Single setup w/Walbro 255L FP...Wastegate is a 50mm with a 12 psi sping (as advertised ), Greddy Type RZ BOV,Stock SC exhaust ( Yes I know i need bigger exhaust, Im running low on cash right now )and im planing on running low boost for now...

THE PROBLEM: at first i was running off the wastegate spring and i was only making 5-6psi of boost....So i T'd it off to make more boost...which got me up to 8psi...I then bought a DEPO electronic boost controller and set up the way it suppose to be and I still only make 5-6 psi no mater what PSI i set it to... i dont get it... I checked the lines to the wastegate and all is correct... Also i then set up the wastegate like an actuator setup and can hit 11.5-12 psi no more then that, why does it not work with the normal setup? What do you guys think is going on? Is my Sping too soft? Exhaust too small? Boost Controller Trash? I have searched a bit to see if i find anythng but

your exhaust is causing way too much restiction. Run it open downpipe and youll see the boost go up.

Ok, I'll check into that, so the restriction it helping the wastegate open with ease? This is my first external wastegate, I've always had actuators and full exhaust like when I had my mk2 supra w/mk3 ct26 setup....thanks for your reply, I will try to get some exhaust and report back... Open dp is too loud for my neighborhood lol

Lol open downpipe just to see if it helps solve the issue. Ive worked on a supra with Stu upgraded twin turbos and a hks electronic boost controller. We couldnt get the car pass 10 psi until we pulled the stock down pipe off. Car boosts perfectly fine now. Has happened twice on two supras.
