Default Metal shavings on dipstick

So as I check my oil I find little metal shavings, two to be exact on my dip stick (not bubbles) to me this is something I should be worried about. I spun the #6 bearing last year, replaced all bearing, oil pump, #6 rod, piston and crank shaft then now this happens.

Also after the car sits for awhile and i turn it over I hear something rattle around for a second, sounds like something is loose. And I just had it tuned after my cam install a few weeks ago

Should I just go ahead and build my bottom end with forged aftermarket internal or just do an all OEM rebuild. Idk it just seems like a never ending story with this car

I believe this post belongs in the performance and maintenance section, but anyway

That definitely sounds suspect, I know the gte block can have certain problems might be worth looking into it to see if you can find something similar to solve your problem.

First thing I would do is drain the oil and maybe even remove the oil pan

Yeah it probably does belong there. Do you know these certain problems to look at? Thank

Do I have to lift the engine in the air and subframe out to take off the oil pan. Thanks

You can easily search both of these questions, I don;t have any experience with the gte personally just came across things randomly.

try searching here or on the supra forums, if you don't find anything update the thread again

Could it be debris from your last issue? You could buy a magnetize oil drain plug.

Drain oil in clean pan. I spect further. Remove the oil filter and cut in half. Inspect. Report your findings. I think you need a complete teardown and rebuild. Just for a piece of mind.

Will do I didn't know if you personally had experience with it.

Could be, I'm putting a magnetized plug on tomorrow, run it, check it out and change the oil

After farther inspection I seem to be in the clear. Must have been from the previous issue. I am going to check my magnetic Drain plug soon and see how it looks. But for piece of mind I'm going to start to build my bottom end, plus I want more power anyways so I'll start gathering my bottom end build slowly but surely
