Default Transmission Solenoid 2 Valve Problems

I did the diagnostic and got code 63, I went to autozone and looked for the part and they told it'll be around 300 dollars, is that how much these really go for? And what would happen if I do nothing about yet and just drive my car normal? Any info would be aprreciated!

This is for a 94 sc4

I'm having tranny solenoids issues too. That's what autozone quoted me too. eBay has them for like $110 for the set. I've not got them yet, Still trying to decide if I should just get a low mileage tranny.

Whenever your O/D flashes do you feel the HP loss?

I have a 94 ES 300. I already replaced the engine on the car about a year ago. I thought it was worth it since the car is super clean in and out. Recently the transmission started giving me problem. The od light would flash, engine light is on and it has no power shifting in D. The computer said it is Shift solenoid A electrical.. I am assuming it is the shift solenoid or it also could be the computer since it controls both engine and transmission. How can I tell which is the problem? and if it is the shift solenoid, which one is solenoid A. This car has three( I practiced on a car in the junk yard) one on the bottom and 2 on top of the valve body. Any info or diagram would be greatly appreciated. The code is P0753;

Go to the junk yard, and ask for a list of cars with same transmission. You get to practice and pull the parts you need for less than $50.00
