Default 92 SC300, No spark! Tried everything!

My 1992 SC300 is not starting. The car is cranking but that's about it. I took it to Pep Boys and they told me that there is no spark. I've replaced the igniter, distributor, alternator, and the ECU but the car still won't start. Luckily I had all those parts on a warrantee, but anyways is there anything else I am missing?

my car had the same problem. i asked around like crazy to. anyways, i took my car to toyota and they said that the fuse box went out. the ignition fuse was getting power, but as soon as power passes the fuse, it shorts. so in short i needed to buy a new fuse box. i think if you have the "know how" you can just buy a relay integration from a junkyard.

i ended up having a bad ecu too. i looked on google for "sc300 ecu repair". found a website that fixes them for $289 for a 5 year warranty. doesnt have to be programmed. just send it out, they fix everything that goes bad on those ecu's. better than buying a used one i think. here's the link.

Welcome to the forums, Extrasuds!

This thread and original post was made in 2013 by the OP but that is what was suggested to him, yes. Other than the ECU (which in these cars will need new capacitor service after 20-30 years of use) that was the only remaining part of the ignition system apart from the distributor.

1992-1997 2JZ-GE distributors can sometimes wear out electrically after 20-30 years of use as well.
