Default going 1jz to 2jz sc300

hey guys, well ive removed my 1jz out of my sc300 due to rod knock but some plans changed and im going full 2jzgte singled from my 1j i know i will need a new manifold. my main concern is

1) whats different in terms of dropping in the engine besides wiring, manifold? i will be running a soarer r154 from my previous set up.

2) will inter-cooler piping be the same?

3) im buying a 2jzgte motor from drag international in davie FL. what maintenance should i do before dropping the motor in?, what i am aware of.. is i should do the timing belt and components, rear mane seals and front main seal, and oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket.

4) anything i should be aware of/tips?

please dont bash and say to hit the search button lol.

I would do:

oil pump
full timing kit, water pump, timing belt, cam seals, etc etc

just replace everything that could be a concern.

Pretty sure if you are buying a import engine, you will have a harness, so that should swap over.

The piping may be the same if you were already singled. But you may have to tweak it a hair. Dont know your setup so just a guess.

The 2j has a taller deck height, so things like down pipe and IC piping will be off a bit.

Do oil pump and water pump and all timing accesories. You'll need to do the cam covers and all main/cam seals. I would just buy a gasket kit from toyota. They're like $400something now.

If you were running stock injectors in the 1j, then just leave the 440s in the 2j (after changing o-rings from gasket set), plug in your 1j harness and ecu and enjoy.

And yes. Please do search. All this info is out there. If you're too lazy to research then you'll probably cut corners elsewhere and the result will suck.
