Default driveshaft length?

i put a soarer r154 in my sc300 with the mk3 front half of the drive shaft and it seems like its in the tranny too much, when i drive i can hear the yoke hit the black dust shiel that goes around the front of the driveshaft. my tranny mount was bad so i replaced it and the noise got worse. so i put in the old mount till i could figur out this problem. my first step is goin to be a custom 1 piece driveshaft. i think mine is a little to long but not sure how much. does anyone know the length the driveshaft for a 93 sc300 with a soarer r154?

just a thought but make sure the carrier bearing is good too. that could possibly make noise.

Remove the metal trim ring around the tranny where the driveshaft goes in. Replace the cente4 bearing with a mkiv one, then make sure you have SC300 rear driveshaft portion. Will be perfect. If the rear rubber piece on the rear end is bad or cracked, replace it also. Good luck!

so remove the black cup? i have a sc300 rear and mk3 front drive shaft, the rubber on the back is not cracked. ive tried to take off the drive shaft but it wont come out. i think im goin to have to disconnect it from the middle and remove it. im thinking ill just have a 1 piece made like a half of an inch shorter than how it is now.
