Default No heat...help

just did my water pump and tstat and car runs great.

Needle comes up to temperature right in the middle. Upper hose gets warm. Radiator gets warm. Overflow is on full. Radiator is topped off.

But no heat....

1. Am I safe to drive it without the risk of blowing a hg or something.

2. What could the cause be? Heater control valve?

I do not know if the heat worked previously...I bought the car and took it apart immediately to do the maintenance.

Any help is appreciated

It's probably the heater control valve. Bypass the VSV, (switch the 3 hoses around) there is a DIY on doing that. Search and ye shall find.

If there is an air bubble it's the kind of thing you should remove whether it's causing your problem or not. Bleed the system and then check your coolant level afterwards and top off as necessary.
