Default Heater takes a long time to turn on

I'm new to this forum. I have a 98 SC300. I've done A LOT of work to this car. Just maintenance stuff for now. My heat doesn't seem to be working properly. Even though the car is warmed up the heater takes almost a full half hour before it starts blowing hot air. Any thoughts on why this is happening and how I can fix it?

Thanks. Glad I joined this forum.

First, watch your temputure gauge to see if it reaches full temp. If not, it's the thermostat that's bad. If that checks out, try the heater control valve bypass. Here is a helpful thread on that. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...rol-valve.html

My heater control valve is dead, resistance was like 150k+ ohms with it switch on and no auto part stores even sell a replacement.
