Default 1 JZGTE swap JDM Auto vs Manual ECU Questions?

I have access to multiple motors being close to one of the larger JDM re sellers in NJ. The 2 i'm looking at are 1 JGTE's one auto one manual. The manual is priced almost $600 more with no Transmission. Does however include complete harness and ecu as does the Auto. Question being is it worth the extra coin for the manual? My sc300 is a 95 5spd. I plan on using my W58 for now and either extending the harness or Dr tweak it depending on which motor i choose. Eventually plan on standalone yada yada.. Main goal is to get her swapped and running first for this season. My first guess is get the manny but the auto looks way cleaner so not sure. Is the ecu really worth the $600 over the Auto motorset? If it makes a plug and swap much easier then I'm down with it but man i have to ask.

Either both ECUs will work with your 5sd SC. I ran a auto 1JZ ECU in my 92 SC with my swap and had no issues

Thanks. The auto motorset is really clean compared to the manual setup which has me on the fence.

I am in the process of my 1jz swap into my 92 5 speed sc300 (w58) and my 1jz and ecu/harness are auto...I would definitely choose what motor looks like it was taken care of the best and is the cleanest. Check them both out the best you can or that they will allow but I would not spend 600 just to have a manual ecu so the manual motorset better be way cleaner and nicer than the auto one or just get the auto... pretty sure the only difference in wiring is the neutral safety switch bypass needed with an auto ecu which is one thing not needed with a manual ecu.

whatever you do dont spend $600 more for the manual if you have someone you know that trust have the inspect both motors just in case.

Excellent and thanks gents. I have purchased motors from them before for my S14 SR swap and the guy is pretty honest with pricing so i was kinda taken back with the price difference. Hopefully i'll pull the trigger in the next few weeks (tax time yay ) Leaning towards Auto as the days pass. Thanks again all!
