Power steering grinding noise? (Video)

So I've been researching the hell out of this topic and I can't necessarily find a solution so far. I resorted to changing my power steering pump for a different one and it's still making the same strange grinding noise the last one did just a few minutes after it ran once I finished installing it... strange right?

I ended up reusing the air idle control valve that was attached to the old pump? Or whatever this valve is? If someone could help me confirm it.

My last pulley didn't wobble nearly as much as this one so I'm also wondering if there's a way to reliably tighten the pulley back down or I could of possibly not tensioned the belt back into place properly.

This grinding noise has been bothering me for the longest time and seems to be coming from the power steering pump area. I was also experiencing magically "dissapearing" power steering fluid from my reservoir with no floor or engine compartment leaks with the occasional white puff of smoke on start up which I was guessing was the burning up of psteering fluid.

Any hints on where to look to next? Anybody got a replacement ACV on the low?

maybe the pulley is bent? shouldnt be wobbling. that valve thingy is for the vaccum lines.

The pulley should not wobble at all. The bearing is probably trashed by now, replace the bearing and torque the pulley bolt to factory specs.

Is the bearing even worth replacing? Might as well replace the whole powersteering pump again if that's the case, or use the bearing from the old pump...? I don't think the bearings are easy to come by are they? I'll probably have to remove the pump to take the bearing out anyway.

It's a standard bearing size found at NAPA. About $14. Easy to replace, requires taking the pump out, taking off the pulley, removing the C-ring, sliding the shaft/bearing assembly out and replacing the bearing on the shaft.

Okay, noted. But what about this grinding noise issue? Anybody have suggestions?

bump. Anyone else?

boomp boomp. Could really use some advice. What exactly is the purpose of the power steering vaccuum valve? Could possibly be the reason why my power steering works strangely.
