2jzge MAF blow through?
I'm in the middle of building a basic NA-T W58 setup, so far I have the GTE head gasket, 61mm turbo, FMIC, 50mm wastegate 6psi spring.. would I be better off running the MAF before the turbo or placing the MAF in the intercooler piping before the throttle body? I was planning on only running a simple SAFC-2 for tuning and setting the base timing around 8 degrees.

this is my build thread... i think for a simple NA-t on a w58 the headgasket is overkill, but either way

In short, i put mine before the turbo and it runs great. everyone is gonna say, blah blah, SAFC is not good, this and that. Fine, whatever. They arent wrong, but every car is different.

I did the head gasket for the extra safety and also deleted the egr and egr cooler on the back of the cylinder head. lookEVO we have very close to the same setup, I was worried that when my HKS BOV opens that the car could stall at the stop light.. thats why I was asking if I could put the MAF after the BOV in the charge pipe? I have no plans of ever running more then the 6psi since I wont be installing larger injectors and not having control of the timing.

Youll be fine, my car runs fine and ive never had any stalls with mine, altho its an auto. 6 psi is pretty low, ESPECIALLY since you went with the hg... you can go higher. Mine is all stock right now... fuel, compression, everything. Your injectors arent really the hold back... until a point.
