Default how to wire 97+ gauge cluster into pre97 sc300?

Does anyone have a write up or a pinout of the sc300 gauge clusters? I am in the process of wiring in a 97+ gauge cluster into my 93 sc300 and Google isn't coming up with alot of info.

Yeah it's not a huge changeover, but I have never bothered to get the pinouts for myself since the pre-97 clusters are so much better. Once anyone lives with those cathodes long enough they'll change their mind It's not fun to have your backlight burn at 50% wide open when it's cold outside. Less of an issue in warm states. Main issue is that the cathodes are dim and grey compared to high powered led's. For stock however stock pre-97 V/S stock post 97 the newer cluster is an improvement.

I was able to wire in a 99 cluster into my 95. Everything works. Not too hard of a job.

I think i have the pinout still, given to me by a fellow member who got it from soarerboy i think! I still have yet to actually do it though. I was going to get a broken cluster, and use the female plugs to make a jumper harness!

This would be most of the info you need. It has the diagrams as well as corrections to my diagram.

Any way you could simplify page 3? Having a diagram of what pin gets swapped with what pin would be amazing!

I have a 97 cluster in my 92. Everything works like stock....unfortunately, the cluster was already wired up before I bought the car, and I have not pulled it out to see how it was done. Mainly because I fear of what I'm going to find. The quality of other work on the car was nothing to brag about, so I'm scared to see what they did with wiring!

If you could pull and take pictures of the wiring and make some type of chart for the forum that would be amazing and really help me and everyone out who wants to do this swap.

The three plugs on my 93 dash harness

Left connector 93

Middle connector 93

Right connector 93

The harness I have from the 97 sc300

White connector 97

Blue connector 97

Grey connector 97

Orange connector 97

Any help putting this swap together would be amazing, thank you.

Another thing I noticed is the black trim pannel with the hour buttons has an extra ( mode ) button with the 97 pannel, the connector that clips in is the same but the wires arn't the same colors going into each pin location.

The 93 clock connector

The 97 clock connector

I had a member email me someone's write up but not really sure what connectors are what on the list

gray = a
blue = b
white = c
orange = d

92-94 & 95-96 use the same plugs but different pinouts
97 & 98-00 use the same plugs but different pinouts

92-94 to 99-00
C13 to D13 - speed sensor input
C14 to C1 - speed sensor output
C15 to D14 - ground
