New Member and 1st thread, I purchased a 93, SC 300 with a 5 speed manual transmission. Recently, I begin to notice a considerable amount of play within the dear shift when changing gears; I believe that I need a shifter Assembly the problem is that I haven't been able to locate one in the state of Georgia. I have contact the local dealer and was informed that the shifter assembly for this model is no longer carried/made in their stock. Could someone direct me in the right direction or offer an alternate solution in making the necessary repair. Thank you.

Have you taken the boot off? If not, I'd take the assembly apart and make sure that the bushings are okay. Generally, play within the gear stick is down to bushing being warn out, otherwise I'd check the entire shifting assembly including the linkage.

Edit: This is probably gonna get moved too, just to let you know, mate.
