Default 1JZ Valve Cover material

Hey CL, need some help here.

Did my research and didnt find out if the 1jz valve covers are made of aluminium or magnesium.

Im trying to weld aluminium an fittings to the covers. any help would be great.

I had aluminium fittings welded to my valve covers.

There Aluminum (you can polish them)

Aluminum just depends on the grade of aluminum to know if it's magnesium blend in the aluminum. Cast parts are hard to tell. Just get 4000 series aluminum to weld on.
