Default AZ 2JZGE Cams in a 1JZGTE

Does anyone know of any shops here in Arizona or somewhere in the U.S. that I can ship my GE cams to have them machined to fit my 1J? I was going to go with 264 cams but after some research, I've read that the GE cams are a decent upgrade and can be done for around $200. I would prefer a local shop but I wouldn't mind shipping them and waiting a little longer. I know Future Fab has a pretty good reputation and Suspicious Garage is a good place but does anyone else know of any other shops that specialize in this kind of stuff?

I cant refer you to anyone but I cant tell you to what I know. The BC cams stage 2 are a great upgrade for the money. I would just spend a little more and drop and go. Still should be able to use stock shims also. Jmo. Gl on your choice.

That's what I planned on going with but don't you have to use the BC cam gears as well?

No you dont have too. I used the oem 1jz ones and had no problems whatsoever. If you decide to go with bc just measure the shims installed and make sure they are in within spec. I didnt have to change ANY of my shins around whatsoever. Others I have read on sf that had too.

The ge cams are not much better than stock as there is almost no duration increase which is where the power is made anyhow, I would spend the time and money on something else imo.

2 JZ GE cams will not just drop in after machining they are designed for a distributor and as such are missing CPS sensors and a 1jz is COP.

2 JZGTE CAMS after machining will go in to a 1 JZGTE HEAD!!!!!

Just pick up BC 264's and call it a day great upgrade.
