BIG QUESTION about swapping trannys!!! Need your SC knowledge

Happy New Year Eve to you all first off :D

Ok, so Christmas night i was on my way to work and Hydroplained and wrecked on the 101 freeway. My SC300 is currenlty back at home but not drivable. Engine starts right up no problem.
I have a 92 ORIGINAL 5speed SC300.

Im currently on the hunt for another SC300 to replace it. There is a 94 SC300 AUTOMATIC im interested in cus it has everything i want exepct a manual tranny. So my question is, if my current 92 5speed is not worth fixing, can i swap out my manuel tranny and put it in a 94 Auto? Will it fit?

Thanks for your help in advance. really want to here you out on this one so i can get back into an SC again asap!

It will fit. U will need to put in a cutch pedat and use the manual driveshaft and the ecu u coukd also swap the cluster so u wont have the PRNDL on the cluster. Search on the forum there is a bunch of trends for this. I think the the DIY STICKY there is one for the swap. Glad ur ok sorry about ur sc

^^^ Thanks for your input. thats great news! ok so i have all the 5speed stuff like paddles, cluster, driveshaft, ecu, ect all in my wrecked SC 5speed. everything seems to working fine. its just my suspension and axles that took most the damage.

So you telling me i can take out all the 5speed goodies from my 92 and put it in the 94 without a problem?

Ill start looking at the STICKYS right now. Thanks im ok, i just need to know my next move cus i need transportion for work asap lol and would love to get an sc again awsome vehicle.

dunno about a Manuel tranny but a manual tranny swap is easy. literally just swap over all your parts, pedals, slave, tranny, clutch, lines, shaft, tranny mount and the ecu etc... and cluster. but yeah there should be a write up on it.

Go for the swap and stick with the SC! You already have EVERYTHING you need right there in your car and when your done you may even be able to part out some of the auto stuff for some cash back. You could even use this as an opportunity to upgrade and get a sweet 97+ car, maybe you could even find one with a blown motor for cheap, then sell the gated shifter and diff etc. I have an original 92 manual with a GE swaP and i hope i never have a bad wreck but if i do this is my back up plan. I'm sorry for your accident but at least you are OK, good luck :)

Thanks for all of you guys input. Looks like im going with the plan of buying another SC and swapping probly around summer time or when i get the chance to. Good ideas about selling the leftover auto stuff after to get a lil cash back GTE4Life.

First things first.. Finding the right SC again haha hopefully find some come next week. I had to take my ISF to work tonight in the rain... LAME =[

OH! And Happy New Year to everyone!

heres some pics of the damage as you can see the rotor is gone. the strut is bent and blown, tow rods are gone some bearings are blown, break line is gone and a few other suspension parts. this could have been way worse so im greatful

How did your rotor break while still maintaining the structure of the rim? Interesting.

Rotor must've been thin.

all looks to be easy fixes :)
