Need advice on rear diff...
Im looking at a diff on craigslist right now and its supposedly a TRD LSD unit. Written on it is 4:11 and on the casing it has F20SZ 2-1.
Im currently making 467whp on a W58 but im going to be throwing in an R154 soon. My car is primarily street driven. Im not exactly sure what kind of gear ratio unit I Should be looking for, Advice would be appreciated.

Im not sure about the TRD unit because it has been discontinued but you can use a factory stock TT 6 speed diff assy with 3.13 gears or the TT auto diff assy with 4.73 gears.

The 6spd USDM and JDM diff has a 220mm ring gear and the Auto TT use a 200mm ring gear the only exception is the JDM 6spd Diff is a 3.26. also the 6spd JDM diff after 98 is also a 200mm and is interchangeable with the auto TRD LSD!!!
How much is this supposed diff on Craigs list, any pics?

Here maybe this will help!
:
'Big Diff' refers to B0xx-series 220mm ring gear differential
'Small Diff' refers to A0xx-series 200mm ring gear differential
'Big flange/Small flange' refers to the 3- bolt input flange (aka companion flange) that bolts to the rubber 'donut' between the diff and driveshaft. This flange can be unbolted and changed on both the small and large differentials.
Here's the info I've got:
By Specific Model: SUPRA'S
US Spec:
NA 93.5-96 US spec---- 4.272:1, LSD optional (but rare) small diff, small flange* Code A05A
NA 97-98 US spec---- 4.083:1, LSD optional (but rare) small diff, small flange, Code A01A
TT Auto 93-96 US spec---- 3.769:1, LSD standard, small diff, big flange, Code A02D
TT Auto 97-98 US spec---- 3.769:1, LSD optional but usually installed, small diff, big flange, Code A02A(non LSD) A02D (LSD)

This is the diff. I am guessing from the list of Diffs this one is the either
SZ 5-spd and Auto---- 4.083:1, LSD optional (but rare) small diff, small flange, Code A01A
SZ-R with V161 6-spd---- 3.769:1, LSD optional but usually fitted, small diff, ???? flange** Code A02B
Im thinking it may be the 4.083 because 4.1 is written on the diff in one of the picture.
Can anyone tell me if this will be a good diff for a street set up?

I know who has the diff for sale.
Personally a 408 diff is not the ideal choice for a boosted car with an R154 but certainly better than an open, having owned and built several cars with R154 I would recommend a 3.76

The pic shown in not the 6-speed rear end with the 220mm gear as that housing has cooling fins on it.
The rear end pictured is out of a N/A Supra, TT Auto Supra, or any of the early Lexus models. SC,GS,LS
