E85 conversion for NA/T (Parts Needed?)
Well guys, E85 is finally available close to me. I'd like to convert my NA/T to it to get a little more horsepower out of car. Car is making close to 500 at rear wheels now running 19 pounds of boost. Mods below. What else am I going to need to do to make the conversion pretty painless?? I hate my walbro pump as it has got to be the noisiest pump I have ever heard. It could be replaced easily. Love to hear some options from you guys.
Boost Logic NA-T Stage II turbo kit
coated tubular header
2.5mm head gasket
T61 turbo
525cc injectors
AEM 1101 3.5 Bar Map Sensor IAT sensor

Boost Logic Torque Converter Upgrade
B&M Transmission Cooler
HKS SSQ BOV
HKS BOV flange
EGR block off plates
T4 Turbo Blanket
Boost Logic Custom Exhaust
Performance Motorsports custom fuel system
AEM stand alone ECU

Second, you would have to change your Fuel system to an E-85 compatible Fuel system. (Lines, Pumps, Injectors, etc.)
I think that's about it, I'm sure others will chime in...

In my experience E85 is not as corrosive to stock fuel lines as many believe. However if you are going to go a dual feed or upgrading the lines anyway then of course try to go with E85 compatible parts. At bare minimum to get set up with E85 you will need larger fuel injectors and a retune. Potentially a larger fuel pump as well depending on what your power goals are.

as wicked suggested , swap out that headgasket for a tt one and if you plan to almost soley run on e85 ,use the ge one to return your squish back to spec .. for around 600-700 rwhp on e85 , 2 walbro 416 pumps ,each with its own dedicated -6an line to rail with a -6an or -8an return using ptfe lines is perfect.. trust me the walbro 416 are quiet as a mouse , the red dragon i recently built has 2 of these intank and i cant hear them period and at mid 700's on e he had solid fuel pressure

What turbo do you have? What's you power goals?
Really all you need to do is ensure you have enough fuel delivery. Don't worry about stock lines not being compatible. As acl99 said, that stuff gets exaggerated a bit. Larger injectors and more fuel pump, and a tune. And keep it simple. I personally run FIC 900 high-z injectors, with 2 intank 255hp's.

I will swap the lines, those factory 12-20 years old rubber lines will not last long with that e85.
You need inline fuel filter depending on the size of your feed line , you need a SS mesh fuel filter with atleast 25-40 micron before the rail, it will save you alot of headache.
replace the lines and you will be fine, You will probably save 120-150$ if you don't replace the lines and you are right around the limit of the factory lines anyway.
Do it once and be done its not worth the headaches imo.
Smith you haven't halfass anything on your car , please don't do it on the fuel setup.

Thanks for the replies guys. Nothing will be done half ***. I've already talked to Ashton at Elite Racing who will be doing the work. (Streetking owns that company too). Probably sometime during the middle of the year I'll drop the car off to them. E85 upgrade and dual ball bearing turbo will probably be on the agenda. If I could get to about 600 to 650 at rear wheels I'll be done. To be honest I don't know why I even want the car faster, just do.

I wonder how the stock oem fuel filter holds up to e85?
Cause I did my fuel system added a inline filter but I am debating on replacing the stock one?
Yay or nay
No intent to thread jack just a question..

i see lots of people opt for twin pump setups. im just wondering if running an intank bosch 044 is an option. im new to these cars and i know on several other platforms the intank 044 is a pretty good option when going e-85, i know it wont be straight drop in either

I also have a question about this but I didn't want to start a new thread since this was already open. I want to go na-t in a not so far future and I want to switch to e85 soon, my 2jzge is completely stock except for egr block off and gte head gasket (oem tt) I know for a fact that i'll need bigger injectors and a standalone unit, what else would I need? Would spark plugs need to be gapped at another measure? Would the walbro be fine for e85? (i don't plan on going off the charts on power, just like 400 when I get to the turbo kit and such)
