Just purchased a 5-speed SC with welded diff. Was that a mistake for a normal driver?

Thanks again! This community is amazing. Sorry I took so long to reply however I was traveling to Boston to purchase a BETTER car. I backed out of the auction and found a MINT (verified) 100k 95 SC400 with octane motor sports body kit, 18 inch chrome, Magnaflow exhaust and injen intake, Light kit, DVD video, back up camera and much more. The guy's father is a Lexus mechanic. Black PERFECT interior and MINT silver/blue body.
Problems.. No trunk key, only elec release. Horn stopped working (but cruise and hazards work).
Went to drive and pay yesterday. Going back to drive it home today.
