Default Searching for the right sound for my 400

Has anyone deleted their mufflers but left the resonators on. If so do you have a sound clip?

I'll try to get sound clips on mine. I left the resonators on, and installed some eBay universal mufflers. It's hardly noticeable at freeway speeds, but there's drone on city driving. Which I kinda like.

Try an M2 axle back exhaust. It's inexpensive, bolt on, good quality and has a very good sound. It did wonders for my NA SC300 with the stock resonators on. With your V8 you might do just fine removing a set of resonators but for my six it wouldn't have been the right sound. All in all though, try an axle back first before removing resonators. It's harder to find one that has really good sound on a 2JZ-GE nonturbo than it is to bring out the naturally rich sound of a V8 and I personally think the above is one of the few reasonably priced axle-back systems that has very good tone on 300's. On a 400 I don't think you'd be disappointed. There are some example videos on YouTube with GS and SC cars.

Here's my YouTube... I have top speed pro mufflers ( eBay) and removed all three resonators. It's not too bad; even on the highway when it gets a little loud, it's a smooth sound. Not at all like my truck. It will be a bit loud, but I have a feeling you'll be glad for that.

Great sounds, hopefully the Blitz I bought would sound about the same.
