Whats going on sc owners, i am having trouble with my 98 sc400. when at a stop with my foot on the brake the car will start to shake and the trac light will flash and now my check engine light is on. The only thing I had done recently was a new alternator, any ideas?

What code is the cel throwing? Chances are the problem is there.

Throwing cel code p0301 - A P0301 code means that the the car's computer has detected that one of the engine's cylinders is not firing properly. In this case it's cylinder #1. So now that I hope i got the issue isolated can anyone recommend good spark plugs, I heard ngk's are good, any other suggestions?

I would only use Ngk as they are oem most likely either a spark plug problem,injector or a coil but start with the cheapest thing 1st.

I check the spark plugs with a friend and the look good, and they were ngk so we swith the spark plug wires on the two front and I replace the one spark plug in bunk 1. See what happens
