Default valve stem caps used as shims

Lately I've been helping my cousin build a Na-T setup and we went with the schnieder cam folks that some members have recommended. Being the first time using regrind cams on jz engines we weren't quite sure what to expect. The cams came in and when we installed them to check valve clearances there was a considerably large gap. I contacted the cam shop and did some research that just explained the base had been grinded down and possibly offset to achieve new dimensions, the shop confirmed and said they counter this by using caps that sit on top of the valve stem to push up your bucket/shim combo. The clearances were too big in case you're wondering. The caps fit a hair loose, I believe that they have an inner diameter of 6mm, and the 2j valve stems should be around 5.98 or so at the top. Thickness of the caps are around 1.016mm, and the outer diameter is not much bigger. Before you ask we used the stem caps to stay in budget vs using shimless buckets ($80 vs$300).

The clearances measured were too large to use factory shims to get back on track.

My question here is if any of you have used these caps and your thoughts on them? Or if you have any experience with these on a different setup. My concern is them coming out at high rpm. After installing them we ordered shims so that all clearances are as close to the minimum tolerances.

Thanks in advance.

price of cams if you are wondering was around $300 for both regrinds and comes with grease and new cam seals. Opted for these since the motor is non vvti 2jzge and using the 7m cps.
