Default Need Help,1JZ Engine Half Built,How to Complete her?

OKAY, the car started off as a debt settlement from a close friend of mine,
the Motor itself had these done.
My Question is, What can i do to the Head? the block is Built but now head, What do i do?
Can someone help? i like to keep a decent power band good for track and daily, hence the built block.
Im aiming for Durability more from the Motor than from the Juicer aka Turbos.
I left out a few things but i know none of this has anything to do with my Engine head. SO please chime in. I have my AEM EMS ver.2 that is waiting to be installed at the tune, while the vehicle will be running with 1000CC Injector Dynamics (currently on order).

Well a good port and polish will help and make sure to port match the intake and exhaust manifolds. Also get a good set of cams with valve springs and retainers. After that maybe see if anyone makes over-sized valves or higher comp ones. Get a good tune and rock out!

I've looked into a lot of options, the whole Long Block is polish ported, high temp heat pressured washed, all aligned and honed. Now i am looking at Top Feed Fuel+Cams, but uncertain what cams for decent rev and power. I want to Squeeze power out of the motor rather than the Turbo's itself. A possible Insight from all who has Cams, and "motor power" with decent tune could Chime in. Thanks

I personally am running Brian Crower stage 2, 264's and love them. Now remember that I didn't run this motor before the install, but all the research that I have done for the MONEY is adding cams. Average HP increase is around 50 RWHP. The great thing about adding these particular cams, is that you can reuse your shims, or at least i did. I believe they are out of stock, but if you can wait, well worth it. They are around 575 shipped at my cost, to anywhere in the USA. If you go stage 3, you have to use their shims, valve guides and so on. Most people say the car wont even start, do to needed a tune intermediately. Another thing using stage 3, is that the other items are another 600 bucks or so. Check out my build thread and you can see how I installed them. I also replaced the valve cover gasket, which you can use 7M-GTE ones, and new cam seals. Good luck and if you need something answered, just PM me or post up. We will help you. Good luck . Mark

The tuner when he tuned the car, increased my rev limit to 7500. I think this is still safe on stock head gaskets and so on on the 1JZ, which that is what I am running. I never changed it. So far so good. The use of stage 3 will allow around 8000-9000 rpm depending on the tune and what other mods support this. My car made 522rwhp at 21 psi on pump 93. no early detonation. I think the cams and the standalone help this number out. It was also over a 100 degrees in the bay too.
