1jz auto swap questions
 

hey peoples,searched around and really couldnt find a straight forward answer to some questions i had so figured i would ask.....

first i was planning on doing an auto to manual swap on my car and going r154, but since i cant really find that many clean r154 swaps and i come across so many really clean a340 swaps i think i might just go that route till i get everything to go manual...

sooooo,i wanted to know the power limits of the auto tranny since i will be going single from the start and what i need to do to the tranny to get the most out of it and still be safe.i heard 400hp and ive also heard more on the jzx90 chaser auto.any info would be really helpfull on getting the rest of my build finished.thanks guys

With a proper cooler set up and valve body shift kit I have seen mid 500's and be reliable and on a built auto 1k plus whp has been done more than once.

I didn't realize it was that much that the stock could hold. I was thinking and under the impression around 400.

Well bone stock you are correct mid 400's tops but a good cooler and shift improver kit then 500+ is more than do able.
