Default Few questions I have about future mods

1. I hate my seats, but love that they are heated. Are there any options for a seat that is a direct bolt in that has more of a bucket seat feel with more side bolster. Basically a more comfortable, sporty feeling heated seat that will bolt in

2. My transmission has like 189 large on it. I am entertaining the idea of a manual swap, but in my old age I dont mind it being an auto. Is it possible to use say a 5 speed auto from an is300 or an sc400? Or should I look into going manual for the price?

As for question number one i would see if is300 seats come heated, they are just slightly more sporty than the sc seats and seem a bit firmer.

not sure if they would bolt in directly, i have a set in my 1gs and they took less than an hour to fit in.

Put an A341 from a GTE JZ into it. 1jz's are cheapest. People give them away.

Hell, I sold mine when I went R154 for $200.

They have an extra clutch pack and can handle 500whp with just an oil cooler.

You can use the S2000 seats also, but not keep the heated option. As far as the tranny goes, use what spoolxexo said or look for a R154 or v160, 6 speed.

I looked into the s2k seats...a heating element can be put into the seats and they would wire the seas up. I figure this will be easy for me since the car is already wired to turn on seat heaters, and the s2k forums are packed wit diy write ups.I will probably go this route with seats.

The jury is out on the transmission though...what is a v160?
