2jzgte vvti swap issues with speed sensor.
Hey CL,
I just recently finished my swap on my car.
I have a 97' with gte vvti motor in it.
While i was doing the swap on my car we found out we wer going to be having issues
with the speed sensor. We found a guy on australia supra forums who had the same issues.
The way he solved his problem was creation a wheel with 12 teeth in it and located in the rear drivrshaft next to the diff. He also got the speed sensors of the auto gte vvti tranny and wired them next to the diff.
Point is, i did the same exact thing but when i turn on my car and drive a little the car shakes/vibrates really bad, maybe bc its not balanced???
So thats my problem, i know there should be a easier way to get this fix, some people said get a yellow box to wired to the ecu, or to tap the the abs speed sensor or te speedo signal, or just to get a standalone.
My question is.... Has anyone gone thro the same problem, if so how did you fixed it? Also does standalone really controls the speed sensor?
Im pracrically new at this, and dont know much about engines. All i need is i like my cars to go fast, thats it.
If anyone has any good info please let me know!!
Thanks
