engine oil leak-iuz-fe
my 93 sc400 suddenly started a fast dribble of oil running out the weep hole in
the bottom of the oil pump housing. so bad I can't use the car. is this the crank
front seal or a problem inside the pump? any help is appreciated.
now this one is more interesting- when replacing a leaking water pump I decided
to do the timing belt (150K miles). before removing the belt I line up the cams to
make it easier later and I found the right cam was retarded about four teeth
from the timing mark when everything else was where it should be. the engine
was running fine. any comments? should I leave it or move it? can the cam
gear be put on wrong? at the factory? it's a big job to experiment by putting it
where I think it's supposed to be, so maybe somebody ran into this before ?
still getting 17mpg city and 26 hiway at 75mph.--love it
