Default fuel symptoms

so i have a 5 speed sc300 2jz-ge and i'm showing some weird symptoms..
its happened two times and once left me stranded. first time i was just driving normal and all of a sudden the car bogs, as it was bogging i put the clutch in to try and rev it up and keep it from stalling, it stalled though, i was still rolling in the street after stalling so i decided to try and pop start it and well of course the motor was turning but didnt want to combust. so it seems like im having a fuel cut, i turned off the car and tried starting it for a good 10 min, the motor was turning but like i said not firing. i get towed home and the NEXT day it fires right up! my only problem is i dont know if its a short or a bad fuel pump, anyone else have similar issues or any 2 cents they can kick me? thanks!

i located the fuel pump ecu under (rear driver quarter panel right?) i did a little research and found outabout the fuel pump mod. turns out the previous owner had already done it there were two wires cut and spliced together. my CEL did not turn on once it stalled, UPDATE- MY CAR IS STILL JUST CRANKING AND NOT FIRING. I BOUGHT A NEW FUEL PUMP PLUGED IT IN AND TURNED THE IGNITION N AND I CANT HEAR OR FEEL IT WORKING. SOUNDS LIKE A SHORT? OR SHOULD I REPLACE THE FP ECU?

Run a separate relay to the fuel pump and see if the car will start that way. This will eliminate all the factory wiring and so on. If you need the diagram, PM me for info. This will eliminate the headache of figuring out if the fuel pump relay (Oem) and the pump itself is gone bad. Basically supplying the pump with a constant 12 volts to the blue wire on the pump.
