In the process of determing that my fuel pump was bad I did the fuel pump bypass modification and also had to replace the fuel pump. My wife just loves the way the car drives. However my fuel gauge always reads full, HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1992 sc400

I would say fuel sending unit in the tank or bad motor in cluster for the fuel gauge.

If you were just in the tank I would say there is an issue with the sender. Maybe you bent it on install.

If not, I repair the clusters or can sell you the cluster motor.

good I will try and get my gas down to about 5 gallons and go back in and check.

I just went in thru the rear seat and rechecked the fuel pump that was recently installed. I saw no visual defects. I then went in thru the trunk and removed the first round thing with the three electrical conectors. I did notice that if i disconnected one of the conectors that the fuel guage would read to the bottom of the scale. This may not have proven anything. I have not been to work in over a year so I need the cheap quick fix to my problem. I also undid the fuel bypass DIY thing. Any suggestion, help. Everything worked perfect before I did the fuel pump replacement and fuel bypass. I was hoping there was a quick fix like check a certain fuse.
