What size tap to use to tap ge oil pan for turbo drain?

Default What size tap to use to tap ge oil pan for turbo drain?

I got the hole drilled but I forgot what size to tap the bolt holes to so does anybody know off hand?

i would drill them to match whichever bolts you decide to use to bolt the flange to the pan.

Club NA-T has a great thread on this. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the link or not, but check out the NA-T General Discussion area and you'll see the top sticky called "All about oil lines..."

If you are talking about the holes on the sides, then its either an m8 or m10 tap, i want to say m8 but its been a while. if you have both just see which one slips in better.

I used a 17/64 bit and an 8mm x 1.25 tap.

An m8x1.25 would be a Lexus bolt with a 12mm head. M6x1.0 would be your regular 10mm flange bolt.
