Default Temp gauge stopped working - cold -1jz swap

What would cause my temp gauge to randomly stop working? It's no longer reading correctly, and is pegged to COLD. I was thinking a short in the wire somewhere but my Mapecu is reading the correct voltage from the sensor. I'm just worried about overheating.

You got an OPEN circuit on your ECT, not a short.

yea, im sure i have a cut somewhere.

Does anyone have a diagram of the ect circuit? im looking and i see a wire goes into the ecu, but i have a feeling thats from the two pronged wire, not the plug with one wire.

edit:

after reading this thread:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...-attached.html
i found the diagram.

Its a Yellow/Green wire that goes straight from the sending unit to connector IK1 (pin 9 - Next to a light green wire in pin 8), then to the gauge. ill have to get my multimeter on it later tonight to see if theres any volts going to that. then ill check the back of the cluster, now that i know which plug its on. I believe its a grey C12 plug with 10 wires - pin 3
