I don't know if the engine would still fit into place, alongside the other components, but supposing there could be room, has anyone ever thought about applying shorter engine mounts onto the SC, so as to lower the height of the engine a couple inches?
Im wondering if a lower center of gravity might increase performance ...

The aluminum pan that mounts directly to the block is less than 1 inch off the aluminum cross bar, so the answer is no without some serious fabrication.

I was super excited to click on this thread thinking someone had mated 2 2jz's together to make a H-12 LOL.

I have also thought about this as well but I have not taken any measurements though. It does look like you could drop the engine a bit without too much issue, but you would also want to lower the trans the same amount as well. I would imagine to do this properly you would have to switch to a dry sump oil system for extra clearance, and then do the proper fabrication for the mounts and cross member. I wonder if anyone has tried and if so, what issues they ran into.
