Default 2jzge head gasket

Im thinking of doing some maintenance on my car including a new head gasket and i was wondering what people recommend. I was thinking going with a thicker steel head gasket, such as a cometic one. They come in different thicknesses though. What size do people use? I am looking to make it an upgrade it possible.

Thanks

If it doesn't need a head gasket don't mess with it. Unless you plan on boosting, then go GTE (I had cometic and didnt like how sluggish it was off boost). As you go thicker you lower compression and the car will become less responsive. If you need to replace the HG and have no plans to boost just put the OEM GE gasket on.

Agree. And when it's time for new head gasket, remember to replace valve stem seals as well.
