need more info on the car. is it 1jz, 2jz, gte, na-t, v8?

with my 1jzgte i passed with flying colors about 2 years ago, because i was running lean as hell. and the motor was stock, and had the stock sc300 exhaust with a mapecu

However,
If you dont have a cat, dont expect to pass.

No I actually did the test. I put 10 gallons in my tank (93 octane) 3 oz of acetone, drove it 30 miles with clean fresh plugs just gapped to .044 and went to the emissions place. It did help but not even close to passing.

I don't know how to test the EGR system without a vacuum pump. I did remove the egr system and cleaned the hell out of it, it was pretty dirty. I cleaned out the vsv pump, checked for vacuum leaks, re-routed all the vacuum lines to the right paths.

The only thing that it can be is o2 sensors or cats at this point. A friend of mine is going to let me use his o2 sensors and Im going to go and see what happens. The guy that took my emissions said the cats look original and with 195k on the car Im sure they are toasted. I will have another update later today.

The car is all stock na 2jz, nothing special.

I tried the aceyone just because of convience I had to go to work. I will install some o2 sensors in borrowing and if that doesn't work then e85 is next

if u have a component that has failed none of the acetone or e85 will work. nox is way too high anyway. make sure no vacuum or coolant leaks if it runs hot it will make nox go up. its either egr valve or cat

If you dont have a vacuum pump and need to test the egr just t into a line that has vacuum and hook it up to the egr valve the car should stall out. That would tell you if your egr valve or ports were clogged.

I too failed emissions on Sunday with only high NOx readings, all else were super low, taking it back today after work to get free retest.

Yesterday I bought new air filter, pcv valve, carb cleaned the egr & module, then seafoam them as well, plus seafoam engine oil. White smoke everywhere as expected, drained old oil, added new oil & filter then went to the only E85 station in Philadelphia & added 4 gallons on top of approximately half a tank of premium I already had in my tank. We'll see if I pass now, will let you know it may help.
