q45 throttle body wiring for sc300
OK fellas
first off my car is a 93 factory 5 spd sc300
seeing as how the only information regarding the proper wiring for the 45 throttle body tps and idle are for a mkIII supra which, come on, its not the same and in so makes it a pain to figure out.
ALAS, i have done the annoying work of figuring it out.
Heres how it goes
From the Nissan Throttle body, you have one "sensor" really its 2, that has a plug directly on it and one with a short wire (3" or so) then a plug. the one with the short section of harness is for the TPS, it has 3 wires, Black, White, and Red. The other plug that is directly on the sensor has Black with White stripe, green, and red. This is for the Idle stabilization.
On the Toyota side of things, we are only going to be using the 4 wire plug going to the tps.
Its colors are Brown, Red, Yellow, and Blue with Red stripe.
Now for the fun parts, plug and chug!
On the toyota side, Here is the designation
Brown: Ground
Red: IDLE
Yellow: Signal
Blue/Red: Power
On the Nissan side of things
TPS PLUG:
Red: Power
White: Signal
Black: Ground
IDLE PlUG
Green: Idle signal
Black/White: Ground
Red: not used
Here is a drawing I made for the proper hook up. As you can see, then brown from the toyota harness connects to both the TPS black and the IDLE Black/white
Toyota Yellow goes to Nissan TPS white
Toyota Blue/Red goes to Nissan TPS red
Toyata Brown goes to Nissan TPS black and Nissan IDLE Black/white
Toyota Red goes to Nissan IDLE green
hope this clears up some things and helps out!
I just finished this today so we shall see as time goes on for issues and what not.

runs like factory. i had to adjust the tps position to fix a dead spot in the idle, when i did so the closed tps position was at .8 V if im not mistaken
but for real it runs perfectly, driven a few hundred miles since the install. no issues at all, no check engine lights or anything
currently it is N/A but next week when all my flanges finally come it the more fun side of the head will be going on
thanks guys, i know this thread would have helped me bunches, so im glad i can help others

beech performance. you have to drill a little hole in the q45 tps shaft but its not a big deal, there are instructions. they also have the 7m idle air valve which is nice for those with FFIM or custom setups. I am actually using the 7mgte IACV has the same plug as the factory iacv, which is very convenient.

Remember I have the vvti.most of the threads on here are of the Ge non-vvti.i just figured out Saturday that I share the same TPS as the GTE.so I'm wondering if I have to repin my TPS plug?
