Question wheeling hopping why???

Hey guys I'm new on CL but i do a lot of browsing on the site. Why is it in my 92 sc300 na-t, when i'm going to take off in 3rd or 4th gear my rear wheel seems to start hopping? I noticed this and i change my differential fluid to royal purple and that didn't even help. So i was thinking maybe i should weld it or maybe save some money up and do the auto tt diff into my sc300. Its really getting to me that i cant take off really hard or even open the throttle up all the way without having the wheel hopping and then having to slow down...please help

Mount up. You need to "regulate" the throttle. Ask Nate Dogg, he knows what's up.

Seriously, you have a worn suspension component somewhere, or could use some solid diff and subframe mounts. Check all your rear components for play and if they are okay, look into the solid bushings.

When's the last time the car got new shocks? Start there if it's been over 50k, definitely change 'em, or even at 30k you're probably due.

Do not weld the diff unless you don't need to be able to go around corners. And wheel hop has nothing to do with the diff anyway.

And what do you have on it for tires?

I bought BC racing coilovers and had them on for about 3 months. The fronts are set at 10 & the rears are too. So I might put the rears to 25 and see what happens. Makes sense and I didn't even think about that.
