driftmotion 60-1 turbo - whats its name?
i have a 60-1 .70 turbo from driftmotion, is this a t04s? im not sure of the name since theres no vin plate on the cartridge.
i need a rebuild kit, and aaron said hed sell one for $110 but i wanna see if i can get one by the weekend, since im on the opposite side of the country. |
Why not call and get the info from Aaron? They may also overnight or 2nd day you the parts. I mean their shipping is already high anyway. Whats another $10 on top? LOL.
|
I did, hes not responding to the email other then the price of the rebuild kit.

Bummer. Super secret squirrel FTL.

They do have a phone number, and every time I've called (even once at 9pm, since he "Happened to be in the shop"), he has answered.

i've been getting my turbos rebuilt by the same guy for years (not dm), and will be dropping off my ct-26 to get bored to run a 58.
|
If it's .70 it should be a T04S.

EBay, that's where dm gets all of their parts...
|
Lol so true^^

what kind of internals is it anyway? Is it a t04s? -Bryan Colvin Sent from my iPhone On May 24, 2012, at 12:21 PM, "Aaron Kahn" <aaron@driftmotion.com> wrote: We build our turbos from scratch, so I don't know what kit you could buy from someone else that has all the correct items included. A 360 deg thrust washer and all correct rebuild parts are included in the kit, and I don't even mark the price up because I just sell it as a service to the customers that run our turbo. the rebuild kits iv heard that they cost $3 dollars to make, and are marked up 36x |

Actually, DM buys cheap ebay type turbos and has every one rebuilt before you get it. As i said, i know, i get mine rebuilt at the same place. Performance Techniniques is where they are done. Basically it's a ebay type turbo housing with turbonetics internals.
